Luxury hospitality brand The Chedi will make its Japanese debut in Niseko.

cheduled for completion in June 2029, The Chedi Niseko will be a boutique alpine hotel in the heart of Hirafu, offering convenient access to the slopes, dining and year-round outdoor activities.

The development is being created with Ryowha Group and marks Chedi Hospitality’s return to Asia. The brand is already established in luxury mountain destinations including Andermatt, Switzerland, with another alpine property planned for Trojena, Saudi Arabia.

Ahead of the opening, The Chedi plans to hold seasonal culinary events in Niseko over three consecutive winters, offering an early introduction to its hospitality and dining concepts.

The announcement adds another internationally recognised luxury brand to Niseko’s growing hotel market—and reinforces Hirafu’s continued evolution as a global, year-round destination.

Opening dates and project details remain subject to change.
