Zuma Chooses Niseko for Its First Japan Opening

Zuma is opening its first location in Japan—not in Tokyo, but in Niseko.

The seasonal Hirafu pop-up opens on 1 December 2026, bringing the international restaurant brand’s contemporary Japanese menu, robata grill and après-ski atmosphere to the resort.

Located four minutes from the Grand Hirafu slopes, the restaurant will seat 141 guests and open daily from 3pm until midnight.

For Niseko, Zuma’s arrival is another sign that the resort is joining established international luxury destinations such as Gstaad, Vail and Cortina.
